Established:January 2005

Goals:

To define the optimal sensor or suite of sensors to characterize the coastal ocean for oceanographic and societal applications. This includes: Assessing current capabilities, recommending optimal sensor characteristics including spectral channels, SNR, frequency of sampling, etc. and considering combinations of sensors and platforms, e.g. polar orbiters and geostationary sensors.
