Practical Sessions - GIS Applications Center
The afternoon sessions during the course were hands-on, practical sessions, during which the students had the opportunity to utilise some of the software applications used in marine remote sensing.
The sessions took place at the GIS Applications Center (GAC), a short and scenic five-minute walk from the AIT Center. An excellent and modern facility, the GAC provided the students with a great opportunity to learn. All of the GAC staff were knowledgeable and extremely helpful to both students and lecturers. The computer network also allowed everyone to check on their e-mails from home on a frequent basis!
