OCM Ocean-Colour Images : India

The first image received on June 3rd,1999 from IRS-P4 indicated the excellent performance of OCM. The image, taken over the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean, brings out features such as turbidity and suspended sediments. Detailed processing and analysis of the imagery will provide more information on chlorophyll content, yellow substances and suspended matters in the waters.
